The group exhibition #datatrap circles around the topics of (big) data, privacy and artist identities in the digital age. The seemingly participatory moment of likes, clicks, scrolling, commenting and sharing goes hand in hand with a personalized shadow of collected data by big corporations. What are the possibilities of sharing information and where are problematic tendencies? The exhibition combines a diversity of artistic approaches: playing with algorithms, moments of withdrawal, of becoming invisible, semi fictional narratives and appropriation. We (Dr. Kuckucks Labrador) have also pursued appropriation as a curatorial tool. Thus, we have included internationally known artists in the exhibition without asking them, since their works can be found and downloaded on the Internet. How does art circulate and who has access to it? The weekend workshop on "social media awareness" was held to reflect and discuss how to act in solidarity on the net and how to protect yours and others privacy.
